Identify the pool behind the number
A token may trade through multiple pairs. Find the token contract and pair associated with the liquidity figure, and confirm which asset is on the other side. A figure from one pool is not total liquidity across all markets.
DexScreener supplies reported liquidity and activity for QuickApe's score. These observations can change. Keep their timestamp and compare available pairs rather than relying on a name or headline metric.
- Verify the full token contract address and the selected pair.
- Note the source and timestamp for each liquidity observation.
- Compare the pool with its recent reported activity and age.
Read liquidity in context
Reported liquidity describes value represented in pool reserves. It does not establish execution price, price impact, whether liquidity will remain, or whether all venues are represented. Activity describes reported trading over a period; liquidity describes pool state at a point in time.
Compare the selected pool's reported liquidity, activity, and age. Recent pools have less history. Provider values can be delayed or revised, so investigate discrepancies rather than choosing the most favorable figure.
Separate pool observations from lock claims
QuickApe's QAPE Signal assigns 30 points to liquidity using DexScreener-reported pool liquidity relative to token valuation. The Signal assigns separate weights of 30 to contract, 25 to holder concentration, and 15 to market activity. Liquidity scoring does not include LP ownership, LP locks, or burned liquidity. Missing inputs are excluded, not interpreted as positive evidence, and the report displays data coverage.
Supported direct Base pool observations can add context about a pool, but an observation is not a proof that funds are locked, inaccessible, or controlled by a particular party. To evaluate a lock claim, identify the exact LP asset and claimed mechanism, then verify the claim against its on-chain contract and current state. A lock label alone is not enough.
Use a careful conclusion
Record the pair, timestamp, reported liquidity and activity, pool age, and supported on-chain observations. Recheck if conditions change. A large liquidity figure does not establish execution price or that liquidity cannot be withdrawn.
Takeaway: use liquidity as one time-sensitive piece of evidence, compare it with activity and the actual pool, and keep lock or ownership claims outside the score unless independently verified. No liquidity metric guarantees an outcome or makes a token safe.
